Samsung / Tizen / SSSP

Run OneDisplay on Samsung pro signage panels using the built-in Tizen (SSSP) platform—no external player needed.

Samsung signage

Samsung’s Tizen (SSSP) displays let you run OneDisplay as a web app directly on the panel—clean installs, fewer cables.

Compatibility

We target professional signage lines with Tizen (SSSP). Examples include:

  • Q-series signage (e.g., QMC/QHC/QBC, QBB/QMB/QHB)
  • BE / BET / BEC entry signage lines
  • OH/OHF/OH2 outdoor/high-brightness lines

Recommendation: Choose QMC/QHC/QBC (or later) for best web performance and long-term support.

Requirements

  • Tizen/SSSP with a modern web runtime (newer panels preferred)
  • Reliable network with outbound HTTPS
  • Time synced (NTP) for schedule accuracy

Setup (overview)

  1. On the display, open URL Launcher (or Custom App) and set the OneDisplay player URL.
  2. Enable Auto Start so it launches on boot.
  3. Ensure panel time and network are correct.
  4. Assign the screen in OneDisplay and publish content.

💡 For fleets, use Samsung Remote/Device Manager (or your integrator’s tool) to bulk-provision URL Launcher settings.

What works well

  • 1080p/4K media loops, static and dynamic playlists
  • Kiosk and lobby info screens
  • Low-maintenance installs (no external box)

Gotchas & tips

  • Older Tizen generations may have lower memory limits for heavy HTML pages.
  • Keep firmware updated to improve stability and web features.
  • Prefer wired Ethernet for content sync and large assets.
